“Within minutes, the individual was located and identified by the BGSU Police Department,” the university said. “This was not an active shooting; there were no injuries or shots fired. The individual is currently in police custody and is being criminally charged with inducing panic.”
The man in custody was identified as Daniel Patrick Seymour, 39, by a university spokesperson, reported WTOL 11.
He is being held in the Wood County Jail. Formal charges have not been filed as of early Monday morning.
Initial reports show that a man carrying a firearm was seen on campus just before 2 p.m. Sunday He was wearing a black hoodie with an American flag on the back, jeans and a black hat. He was seen near Kohl Hall and Carillon Place, the tweet said. Students were instructed to shelter in place.

Just before 2:30 p.m., the university tweeted the man had been located and identified. The university gave the all clear and said there was no longer a threat.
“BGSU Police report there is no current threat to the campus community,” read a tweet by the university sent around 5:10 p.m.
